Traveling Assistant Project Manager
The Travel Team Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Division Manager and senior leadership in the successful operation and growth of the division and company in all operational aspects of the project.
As an Assistant Project Manager you must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time, with an average of three weeks on the road and one long weekend home with per diem, meals and lodging provided. All employees must be able to pass a background test and drug screening.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide day-to-day leadership and management of field supervision, and
office/administration.
• Understand current status of all projects at any point in time and oversee
project schedule.
• Ensure that all projects meet schedule, company quality standards, and
standard operating procedures.
• Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability,
cash flow and business goals and objectives.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
• Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal
and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating
condition of the project.
• Collaborate with all members of the team to develop and implement plans for
the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed
to accommodate objectives of the project.
• Motivate and lead a high-performance team; attract, recruit, and retain required
members of the team; provide mentoring and management with a career
development focus.
• Promote a success-oriented, accountable environment within the project.
• Foster a project working environment that places the highest value on safety,
ensuring policy is documented, communicated, and implemented.
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership and clients, changes in the
current project status, schedule, and other project milestones.

• Strong ability to use technology including scheduling, takeoff, and estimating
software.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in construction / demolition environments (preferred)
• Education - Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Building
Science (preferred)
• Has proven set of skills and a breadth of knowledge that are of value to the
business.
• Takes a big picture perspective regarding the Company’s priorities and goals.
• Previous front line business operations or leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree (required)
