Director of Sales - Marriott Hotel

Develop and execute strategic Sales & Marketing plans against a defined hotel budget to maximize revenues, direct sales, marketing, e-commerce, public relations and community partnerships.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Responsible for revenue maximization including group, contract, transient and meeting space
* Complete weekly sales activities including Cold Calls, Sales Calls, Prospecting
* Aggressively solicit New Business across all sales segments to meet or exceed goals
* Maintain consistent verbal and written communication with
* Conduct site-tours and on-site presentation to potential clients
* Execute and implement sales plans to positively impact hotel revenues
* Review/monitor brand reports and tools to assist in identifying potential businesses within the market
* Respond/Action to all customer inquiries within 4 business hours
* Awareness of new business opportunities in and around the market through different sources
* Collaborate with Operation Team to deliver revenue results
* Utilize STR reports to lead the market in OCC/ADR and REVPAR
Sales and Communication:
* Participate in weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual meetings, including but not limited to BEO, SMERF,etc.
* Partner with Marriott Account Executives - refer leads and use their resources
* Be familiar with the competitors and their selling strategies. Recognize opportunities
* Be familiar with hotel's room types, meeting space layouts and square footages
* Work along with Revenue Management to maximize revenue generation
Sales Administration:
* Enter all sales activities in Delphi. Commit to 100% adoption and update account information daily
* Compile and complete weekly/monthly/quarterly reports to send above-property management
* Attend Sales Training and Workshops as required
* Maintain brand compliance
Leadership Support:
* Make recommendations or assist the GM in recruitment and terminations
* Manage and motivate sales effort to entire team mainly Front Desk with an incentive plan
* Be a Leader and Role Model to all employees
Qualifications required:
* Four-year degree or equivalent experience
* 3 - 5 years of Hotel Sales experience
* Excellent grammar, written & verbal communication skills
* Display initiative, perseverance and analytical skills
* Team player and ability to get along with all associates
