Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEP)
- Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to adapt strategies to various student needs and learning styles
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals in conjunction with IEP teams
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to maximize carryover of therapeutic strategies
- Maintain thorough documentation of services, progress, and recommendations
- Participate in team meetings and provide insights to support student achievement
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and accessible learning environment for all students
