Join Little Dreamers Learning Center Inc as an Opener/Cook, where you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and fun environment for children. We are looking for a passionate individual to prepare healthy meals and ensure our kitchen is ready for a day of learning and play! Responsibilities:
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children, adhering to dietary guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
- Plan weekly menus in collaboration with the center's nutritionist.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of kitchen supplies.
- Engage with children during meal times to promote healthy eating habits.
- Collaborate with staff to support overall center operations.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Passion for working with children and promoting healthy lifestyles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
