About the Role
A growing service organization supporting emergency response equipment is seeking a Service Advisor to join its Birmingham, AL team. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring equipment is serviced efficiently and returned to operation as quickly as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys coordinating across departments to deliver high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding service needs and repair updates
- Create and manage service estimates using CRM systems (Salesforce or similar)
- Open and close work orders, ensuring accuracy, documentation, and customer approvals
- Coordinate communication between technicians, service, and parts departments
- Monitor repair progress and provide timely updates to customers
- Perform quality checks throughout the service process to ensure work meets expectations
- Research solutions and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (additional education or certifications a plus)
- 1+ years of customer service or service coordination experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with computer systems and CRM software
- Experience in automotive, heavy equipment, or truck service environments is a plus
