Job Title: Child Nutrition Program Worker

Reports to: CNP Manager or designee

Job Goal: To assist in the safety and quality operation of the Child Nutrition Program (CNP)

Qualifications:

• Holds a high school diploma or equivalent
• Holds or able to obtain ServSafe certification
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency in oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrates aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
• Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board might find appropriate and acceptable

Performance Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates support for the school system and its vision, mission, goals, and priorities
• Assists in daily meal preparation and serving
• Knows daily menu requirements
• Follows daily food preparation schedule and recipes
• Serves prescribed portions of food
• Maintains a clean serving line

• Follows food serving/storage guidelines including temperature requirements and maintenance of records
• Follows high standards of grooming, safety, and effective work habits required of CNP employees
• Demonstrates ability to use technology to communicate, manage data, and produce/submit required reports, correspondence, and/or school information
• Maintains standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining room areas of the school
• Responds to requests quickly with a professional and courteous attitude
• Assists in developing and maintaining a welcoming and positive climate in the cafeteria
• Maintains ethical standards and confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters in accordance with state and federal law
• Demonstrates physical strength, mobility, dexterity, stamina, and acuity to perform job responsibilities and essential functions
• Properly uses and cares for equipment and material resources of the school system
• Supports and complies with school system rules, administrative procedures, local Board policies, and state, federal, and local regulations
• Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by supervisor(s)

Terms of Employment/Salary: 9 months (185 Days), 7.5-Hours / Non-Exempt / To be determined, commensurate with local salary matrix and experience.

Evaluation: Performance to be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
