The Director of Patient Services is responsible for the overall Leadership, oversight, and coordinator of hospice clinical operations to ensure the delivery of patient-centered end of life care. You lead an interdisciplinary team (IDT) to ensure that every patient’s journey is marked by dignity, comfort, and compassion. Your leadership directly impacts how families experience one of life’s most vulnerable moments.

What will your leadership bring to the organization?
- The Director of Patient Services is responsible for the overall Leadership, oversight, and coordinator of hospice clinical operations to ensure the delivery of patient-centered end of life care. a culture of compassion and accountability to clinical professionals including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and hospice aides.
- Clinical Excellence & Innovation : Drive Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives to stay at the forefront of evidence-based hospice care.
- Strategic Operations : Oversee daily clinical functions, manage departmental budgets (often multi-million dollar portfolios), and ensure 24/7 service availability.
- Community Advocacy : Serve as a clinical liaison to the community, building partnerships with physicians and referral sources to expand the reach of hospice services.
- Regulatory Command : Ensure full compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and state-specific licensing requirements
Qualifications for our Visionary Leader
- Education : A Associates Degree in Nursing (BSN) is typically required, BSN highly preferred.
- Licensure : Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience : Generally requires at least 3–5 years of management experience in a hospice or home health setting.
- Certifications : Specialized certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing (CHPN) is highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in patient services management
- Associates degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Proven expertise in healthcare management and regulatory compliance
- Strong leadership and patient advocacy skills
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Experience in staff development and team management
