Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. This is a HYBRID position that requires at least 1 day of work on site in Birmingham, AL. In this role, you will oversee key financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization while expanding your expertise in accounts payable and reconciliations. Responsibilities: - Manage payables processes, adhering to established policies and procedures. - Act as the primary point of contact for resolving accounting discrepancies - Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate and timely payments. - Submit all accounts payable invoices for processing and maintain proper documentation. - Handle recurring and payables processes for assigned agencies, ensuring compliance with standards. - Provide training to agency personnel on correct accounts payable procedures to enhance efficiency. - Process vendor payables submissions promptly and accurately. Requirements - Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and operations - Experience with Batch Processing and Batching in an accounting environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis - Demonstrated ability in Bank Account Reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy - Experience with Month End Close processes to maintain timely and accurate financial reporting Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
