Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time special education teacher position is available at a K-12 school located in Grove Hill, AL. This contract role spans the full school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to a caseload of approximately 20 students, including both resource and one self-contained student.

Responsibilities include delivering both push-in and pull-out services tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities. The role demands strong collaboration with general education staff, development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and ongoing progress monitoring to ensure student success.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid special education teaching certification
• Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 20 students, including resource and self-contained services
• Skilled in delivering push-in and pull-out instruction
• Strong munication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of best practices in special education and individualized instruction

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom environments
• Develop, implement, and update IEPs consistent with legal and educational standards
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
