Commercial Door & Hardware Estimator

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented entry-level Estimator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the construction industry. You will be trained to review project plans, perform takeoffs, and assist in preparing bids for Division 8 (doors, frames, and hardware).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing architectural drawings and project specifications
• Learn to perform quantity takeoffs for doors, frames, and hardware
• Support the preparation of cost estimates and bid proposals
• Request and track vendor and supplier pricing
• Organize and maintain bid documents and records
• Work with senior estimators and project managers to understand project scope
• Identify basic scope requirements and assist with clarifications
• Learn industry standards, codes, and product applications

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in construction, estimating, or a related field
• Basic understanding of construction drawings or willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to be trained
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Preferred (Not Required)

· Internship or field experience in construction

· Construction management, engineering, or related education

· Exposure to commercial doors, frames, or hardware
