Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Schedule/Hours:

• Shifts according to surgical case needs, including some evenings or weekends based on team coverage.

Qualifications:

• Experience as an OR Nurse (ORT), Surgical Technologist (certified or non-certified) in a hospital or surgical center
• Current BLS certification required
• Knowledge of sterile techniques, instrument handling, and surgical procedures
• Adaptability to evolving clinical priorities and excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to function effectively in high-intensity environments and follow surgeon directions accurately
• Strong documentation and teamwork capabilities
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety protocols

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure availability of instruments and supplies
• Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during various surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile fields and enforce infection control standards
• Conduct instrument counts and support equipment set-up and turnover between cases
• Monitor patient status and respond to intraoperative needs as directed
• Accurately document surgical procedures and supply usage
• Participate in perioperative communication, safety huddles, and quality improvement processes
