We are seeking experienced, detail-oriented candidates for a custodial position. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cleaning and maintenance tasks and the ability to handle multiple duties efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general housekeeping and maintain cleanliness of buildings and assigned areas.

• Use cleaning supplies and equipment (buffers, vacuum cleaners) properly and safely.

• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, fixtures, doors, and contact surfaces.

• Clear blocked drains and toilets as needed.

• Clean doors, partitions, grates, kickplates, bulletin boards, furniture, woodwork, fixtures, windows, blinds, and other equipment.

• Mop floors in restrooms, classrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms, and hallways.

• Vacuum and spot-clean carpets.

• Empty waste receptacles and dispose of trash appropriately.

• Maintain outdoor areas by sweeping sidewalks, walkways, and picking up debris.

• Perform routine maintenance on custodial equipment.

• Replace light bulbs and assist with general maintenance tasks such as floor stripping, waxing, and buffing.

• Follow chemical cleaner safety procedures.

• Spray offices/classrooms/labs with insect repellant as needed.

• Keep storage areas organized and process maintenance requests.

• Assist with moving furniture and equipment.

• Support event setup and facility preparation.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

• Experience in custodial or janitorial work.

• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and safe chemical use.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, stooping, and bending for extended periods.

• Ability to use common hand tools and operate cleaning machinery.

• Strong multitasking and time management skills.

• Reliable and detail-focused.
