Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Theodore, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage visitor and employee access, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain accurate entry records. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and help to deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for access, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with controlling access to restricted areas, gates, and loading areas while maintaining professional communication with employees and visitors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the business, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
