About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Compunnel Healthcare to find a qualified CVICU RN in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, 35401!
- Provide critical care to post–cardiac surgery patients (e.g., CABG, valve replacement).
- Monitor hemodynamic status (BP, CVP, arterial lines, cardiac output).
- Manage and interpret ECG rhythms and respond to abnormalities.
- Operate and monitor life-support equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and defibrillators.
- Administer medications including vasopressors, inotropes, anticoagulants, and sedatives.
- Assist in emergency procedures (code blue, intubation, resuscitation).
- Perform wound care and post-operative assessments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Certifications – Required
- AHA BLS
- AHA NIH
- Or Red Cross
Certifications – Preferred
- AHA PALS – if working in pediatric unit
Licenses – Required
- Registered Nurse State of Alabama or compact license (No Temp Licenses' accepted)
- NURSYS
Experience - Required:
• 2 years experience; must have 2 years of experience in the field of specialty.
