About the Role:
The Cashier - Custard position is a vital role responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The primary goal is to ensure customers have a positive experience by accurately processing orders, managing payments, and maintaining a clean and welcoming workspace. This role requires attentiveness to detail to handle cash and electronic payments securely and to provide correct change. Additionally, the cashier will support inventory management by communicating stock levels and assisting with product displays. Ultimately, this position contributes to the overall success of the establishment by fostering customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a food service or retail environment.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and take their custard and related product orders accurately.
- Process cash, credit, and electronic payments efficiently and securely using the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station and surrounding areas to ensure a pleasant environment.
- Assist in restocking supplies and notifying management of inventory needs or discrepancies.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues or escalate them to management as appropriate.

Attention to detail ensures that orders are taken correctly and payments are handled securely, minimizing errors.
