Description/Duties:
The Senior Requirements Engineer directly supports the Missile Defense Agency staff in the office of Ground Based Midcourse Defense. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support planning for future missile defense capabilities and requirements.
- Develop system requirements; manage and execute requirement traceability.
- Lead Working Groups during the absence of Civilian or Military Chairs.
- Lead Technical Interchange Meetings across multiple technical disciplines and time-zones to develop MDA requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must be a U.S. citizen..
- Candidate must have at least a Bachelor's of science in STEM.
- Candidate must have 12+ years of related experience in Production and Lifecycle Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering (Model Based Systems Engineering and tool (CAMEO) expertise required).
- Demonstrated Experience in Aerospace Industry (Large DoD projects, Aircraft, Rockets, Missiles, Spacecraft).
- Experience leading a collaborative team (dispersed team of Government, Contractors, Prime Developers) is required.
- Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills (demonstrated experience briefing CEO and/or General Officer level).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of science degree is highly desired, but a Bachelor of Science with 20+ years of experience will also be considered.
- Top-Secret security clearance is highly desired, but a Secret clearance will be considered.
- Certifications with International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE): Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) are desired.
- Preferred skills include MDA Experience; fundamental understanding of radars and/or missile defense concepts to include ballistic, cruise and hypersonics.
