About Our Church

We believe that ministry should be a reflection of the message of John 15:5 where Jesus teaches that when a branch is connected to the vine it bears much fruit; therefore, we know that when a life is connected to Christ, great things happen. Our goal is to see lives connected to Christ through worship, connected to the church through Sunday School, and connected to the community through service.

We are a biblically conservative Southern Baptist church with an average weekly attendance of approximately 250. Our desire is to glorify God through our weekly worship. We believe it is of utmost importance that the congregation understands and participates in genuine, Christ-centered worship that is rooted in Scripture rather than driven by performance or emotion. We value both choir and instrumental worship leadership and seek to cultivate congregational participation across generations.

Position Summary

The Worship Pastor will serve as a spiritual leader who shepherds the congregation through Christ-centered worship and discipleship through music. This individual will oversee all aspects of the worship ministry including choir, praise team, instrumentalists, children’s music ministries, and seasonal productions. The ideal candidate will combine pastoral heart, theological depth, musical competency, and leadership ability.

We are looking for a Worship Pastor who wants to join a healthy pastoral team. More than just a position, we are looking for someone who desires to become part of our church family and serve faithfully alongside us for many years to come.

Primary Responsibilities

Worship Leadership

· Plan and lead weekly corporate worship services in cooperation with the Senior Pastor.

· Lead a blended worship environment incorporating choir, vocal team, and instrumentalists.

· Select biblically sound, theologically rich music that supports congregational singing.

· Lead the body by promoting an atmosphere of authentic worship focused on God’s glory rather than performance.

Choir Ministry

· Direct and develop the adult choir.

· Lead weekly rehearsals and prepare choir presentations.

· Plan and direct annual choir Christmas musical and other seasonal productions as/when needed

· Encourage spiritual growth and fellowship within the choir ministry.

Praise Team & Instrumentalists

· Recruit, train, and shepherd vocalists and musicians.

· Lead rehearsals and coordinate scheduling.

Children’s Music

· Oversee children’s choir ministry by offering any needed support

Production & Technology

· Oversee worship technology including sound, media, and livestream

· Train and develop volunteer tech teams

· Have a working knowledge of modern sound equipment and worship software- Pro Presenter

Pastoral & Administrative

· Serve as part of the church leadership team

· Participate in staff meetings and church planning.

· Provide pastoral care within the worship ministry as well as church family

Qualifications

Spiritual

· A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing walk with the Lord.

· Desire to lead God’s people in biblical, Christ centered worship

· A heart for shepherding people

Character

· Demonstrates humility, servant leadership, and spiritual maturity

· People person

· Team player, desire to be part of a healthy ministry team

· Teachable spirit and willing to teach

· Cooperative attitude.

Education & Experience

· Degree in Church Music, Worship Ministry, Music, or related field (or equivalent ministry experience).

· Experience leading worship in a local church

· Experience directing choir and leading instrumental worship teams

· Experience with seasonal productions

Musical Skills

· Proficiency in vocal leadership

· Ability to lead choir and congregation in worship

Compensation

· Salary and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
