Joshua Tree Experts in Birmingham, AL is a premiere team of tree care professionals, is searching for an experienced Tree Care Groundsman.The Groundsman works alongside a 2 to 4-person tree crew assisting in tree removal, tree pruning, stump grinding and wood chipper operations. He/she is responsible for all communication with crew members and the public while climbers are aloft in trees or aerial lift trucks.We believe our future is only as bright as the talent of our employees. Joshua Tree Experts is dedicated to expanding our employees' knowledge and offer paid training to all Tree Care Specialists for class room work, seminars, certification testing and all certification related expenses.What a Tree Care Groundsman does:Assist crew with equipment and vehicle preparation dailyEnsure that drop zones are safe for coworkers and publicPerform pruning and reducingSafely use tree care operations equipment included but not limited to gas powered saws, pole saws/clips, and chippersLoad and unload trucks and chippers with logs, brush and debrisReports to work on time each dayFollow directions from crew leaders and climbersMaintain professional imageProvide friendly and excellent customer serviceMaintain and service equipment, as neededFollows safety culture and safety proceduresSet up safety and traffic control measures for job sitesWhat do you need to be a Tree Care Groundsman:Minimum of two year experience in Tree Care OperationsValid driver's licenseAt least 21 years of ageAbility to work 40 hours or more each weekAbility to lift at least 25 poundsWillingness to work in adverse weather conditionsExcellent ability to communicate effectivelyWhat Joshua Tree Experts can provide for you:A culture focused on SAFETYCareer advancement opportunities!Company that values a great WORK/LIFE balanceFull time, YEAR ROUND employmentJoin a BETTER team of tree care professionals at Joshua Tree Experts in Birmingham!
