The Administrative Custodian will play a pivotal role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our office premises. This role will be responsible for meticulous attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness will contribute to creating a safe, comfortable, and organized work environment for our administrative staff and visitors.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Sanitizing Surfaces:
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize all surfaces within the administration building, including desks, tables, chairs, countertops, and common areas, ensuring a germ-free environment.
Trash Removal:
- Regularly empty trash cans throughout the building and dispose of trash in designated areas, adhering to proper waste management and recycling protocols.
Floor Care:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum all floors & base boards, offices, and reception areas, to remove dirt, dust, and debris. Utilize appropriate cleaning agents for different floor surfaces to maintain their integrity.
Bathroom Maintenance:
- Clean and disinfect restroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures, ensuring they are well-stocked with necessary supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
Kitchen and Breakroom Cleaning:
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and breakroom areas, including cleaning countertops, sinks, appliances, and tables.
Window and Glass Cleaning:
- Clean interior windows and glass partitions throughout the building to maintain a clean and polished appearance, providing clear views for occupants.
Specialized Cleaning Tasks:
- Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks like interior wall washing to ensure a thorough and comprehensive cleaning regimen.
Reporting Maintenance Issues:
- Promptly report any maintenance or repair issues observed during cleaning duties to the Facilities Manager or designated supervisor for resolution.
Adhering to Safety Procedures:
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment, ensuring the safety of yourself and others within the shipyard premises.
- At least two years of prior office cleaning experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical demands:
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders safely and efficiently.
- Capability to lift and move heavy objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to bend and squat to clean different office spaces.
