Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a pivotal speech-language pathologist position supporting elementary students in a school-based environment near Birmingham, AL. This contract role offers the opportunity to guide young learners in their communication development as you work alongside dedicated professionals, with a focus on teamwork and student success. The assignment runs from August 12, 2026, through May 20, 2027, with a commitment of 28 hours per week across 4-5 days.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Alabama SLP License required
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• ALSDE SLP Certification needed
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with staff and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy to elementary-age students, adapting approaches to meet individual needs
• Develop and implement IEPs, progress monitoring, and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and possibly serve one or two additional schools depending on final caseload numbers
• Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and contribute to an inclusive educational environment
• Assess student abilities, set goals, and deliver engaging therapy sessions
