Due to extreme growth, Mullinax Montgomery Cadillac Buick GMC has one opening for a Used Car Technician to join our Award-Winning team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
  • Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systems.
  • Identify mechanical and electrical problems with both computerized diagnostic equipment and through visual inspection process.
  • Perform repairs thoroughly and accurately.
  • Participate in manufacturer training programs, keeping informed of changes in technology and processes.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records of repairs, parts used, and time for spent for invoicing.
  • Communicate effectively with managers regarding necessary repairs timelines.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.

Qualifications for this job:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience as an automotive technician preferred.
  • Must provide own tools
  • Basic computer, email, and internet proficiency
  • Strong time management skills
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
  • Lifting of heavy items of up to 75 pounds
  • Able to withstand exposure to adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt and dust
  • Certificate from accredited automotive school.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record according to dealership guidelines
  • Must be able to pass background screening and drug test
