The LM S&T (Science & Technology) team is seeking an aerostructural engineer - Intern (2026), to help our team of engineers to perform aerothermal, thermal, and CFD analysis in support of hypersonic programs.

In this position you will:
Analyze, research, and develop metallic and composite structural materials for aerodynamic and full lifecycle environments.
Interpret and presents results of analysis to communicate strength capability, durability, and stability.
Develop finite element models in coordination with other teams.
Support build of test articles, support testing, and provide post-test analysis on developmental hardware.
Tools may include ABAQUS, Altair Hypermesh, and software scripting languages.
Basic Qualifications:
- Student working towards a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar STEM related program
Desired Skills:
- Experience with software tools(Java, Tcl, CREO, Solidworks Matlab, Python, Fortran, etc)

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
