Job Description

As a Security Officer Dispatch Operator in Tanner, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will coordinate communications, monitor access activity, document incidents, and support timely responses to security-related needs. Using computer or tablet systems, you will help maintain awareness across the site while providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor communications systems, alarms, cameras, and other security-related technology; receive calls and dispatch appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, service requests, access concerns, and unusual activity accurately; maintain required logs, reports, and shift handoff information.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying designated site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, and perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
