About the Role:
The Underground Supervisor - Telecom is a critical position responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground telecommunications infrastructure. This role ensures that all operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. The supervisor will lead a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery. Additionally, the position involves coordinating with other departments and stakeholders to facilitate project timelines and resolve any issues that may arise. Ultimately, the Underground Supervisor plays a vital role in enhancing the reliability and performance of telecommunications services for our customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance, particularly in underground environments.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in underground work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in telecommunications, engineering, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of underground telecom installation and maintenance teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all underground work activities.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of underground facilities to identify maintenance needs and potential hazards.
- Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to plan and execute projects effectively.
