Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill a Quality Clerk position for a manufacturing client in Athens, AL. This is a Temp/Contract job. Apply now!

Duties for this position include:

• Prepare and maintain inspection and shipping documentation
• Verify accuracy and completeness of quality inspection documents
• Provide quality documentation to customers
• Organize and file job folders and product documentation
• Ensure all required shipping documents are included with outgoing orders
• Communicate documentation concerns with customers and internal teams
• Maintain Device History Records (DHR)
• Manage gauge calibration process and maintain calibration records
• Track, collect, and report calibration data using software systems
• Coordinate with third-party calibration vendors
• Escalate out-of-tolerance gages for evaluation
• Collect and track MRB (Material Review Board) data
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Demonstrate strong attendance, punctuality, and flexibility for overtime
• Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation (USD):

$20.00 - $40.00/hour

Depending on Experience

Schedule:

1st Shift

Monday – Friday
4:30 p.m. – 3:00 a.m.

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working in a manufacturing shop floor environment
• Strong understanding of GD&T and inspection concepts
• Ability to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and inspection instructions
• Strong computer skills including ERP, QMS, and Microsoft Office (Excel required)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience in ISO/FDA environments preferred
• Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
