Responsibilities

• Operate waste collection vehicles safely and efficiently according to company policies and local regulations.
• Collect commercial waste from designated customer locations in a timely and professional manner.
• Sort and properly handle different types of waste, including recyclables and hazardous materials, following environmental guidelines.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on collection equipment and report any issues promptly.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of work areas during and after waste collection activities.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns respectfully and effectively.
• Document daily collection activities and maintain accurate records of waste volumes and types collected.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent as required by jurisdiction.
• Proven experience operating heavy vehicles or waste collection equipment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal waste management and safety regulations.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
• Commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible waste handling practices.
• Flexibility to work varied hours including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends as needed.
