We’re seeking an experienced Business Leader in the Southeast region of the United States. You’ll have the opportunity to use your vast experience in the construction industry and play an integral role in mentoring staff, forming long-term relationships with clients and pursuing new work, including strategy development, positioning, proposing, and negotiating contracts. Reporting directly to the current Southeast Business Leader for PMCM, this position has both business development and project execution responsibilities.
As the Business Leader, you are responsible for client relationships with existing clients and for relationship development with new clients. Your goals are recurring operational sales and new sales with upcoming opportunities. In support of this effort, the sub-geography inside sales and operational sales teams, provide assistance and support in developing presentation materials as well as alignment with engagement meetings to determine gaps in the client’s plans where we can sell the ‘One Jacobs’ portfolio of services.
As the Manager of Projects, your overall management responsibilities are for direct reports at sites and for support personnel working from the home office. Under the different procurement delivery strategies - traditional design-bid-build or CM-at-Risk (CMAR) or CM-as-Constructor (CMc) or Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) or Design Build (DB) – the Manager of Projects provides project execution expertise through team leadership (project managers and/or construction managers), technical acumen, financial, schedule and quality control, commercial and risk management to meet project and Company objectives. The Manager of Projects will lead safety, development of our team, capturing and growing work with our clients, delivery of outstanding services and compliance with requirements for our People & Places Solutions projects (P&PS) within various s.

- Bachelor’s degree In Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
- Minimum 15 years' experience in the industry / preferred as an owner's representative or program manager
- History of successfully delivering programs and projects to the satisfaction of clients in multiple s
- Advanced knowledge and experience of project management and construction management processes, means and methods
- Working knowledge of contract administration
- Must possess soft skills in resolving personnel and client concerns coupled with technical knowledge of projects and/or construction delivery methods
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
- Willing and able to travel from home base for project oversight and business development activities
Ideally, you'll also have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification

The base salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $235,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
