Position Overview
The Vice President of Business Development is a key executive leadership role based in Hoover, Alabama and responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic partnerships across all service lines — Pest, Termite, Lawn, and Mosquito. This position requires a results-oriented leader with deep experience in sales strategy, business development, and leadership of high-performing teams.
The VP of Business Development will lead initiatives to identify new market opportunities, strengthen our brand presence, and ensure that growth aligns with Waynes’ mission to deliver World Class Service – Every Time .
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company growth goals and profitability targets.
- Collaborate with the executive team to shape long-term strategic direction and identify new market opportunities.
- Establish clear KPIs, budgets, and sales forecasts to track and drive performance.
Revenue Growth & Sales Execution
- Lead and develop the sales organization (residential, commercial, and national accounts) to achieve aggressive growth targets.
- Design and oversee strategic sales campaigns, partnerships, and promotional programs.
- Implement processes that enhance lead generation, conversion rates, and retention.
Market Expansion & Partnerships
- Identify and pursue new geographic markets and strategic acquisition opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry partners, referral networks, and community organizations.
- Represent Waynes in local and regional business development forums and trade associations.
Team Development
- Recruit, mentor, and inspire high-performing sales and marketing professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure consistent coaching, performance feedback, and leadership development within the business development organization.
Brand & Customer Experience Alignment
- Partner with marketing to ensure consistent messaging, positioning, and customer engagement strategies.
- Champion Waynes’ core values and reinforce our commitment to World Class Service in every customer interaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in sales leadership, business development, or strategic growth roles — ideally within a service or home services industry.
- Proven track record of leading multi-market sales organizations to significant, sustainable growth.
- Strong financial and strategic acumen; ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive informed decision-making.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Deep understanding of customer service models and culture-driven organizations.
