The Psychiatrist provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services to patients across assigned programs. This role includes regular daytime clinical hours and participation in the on‑call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The Psychiatrist works collaboratively with medical, clinical, and administrative teams to ensure timely, high‑quality mental health care.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, formulate diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide medication management and monitor treatment response.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, therapy, social work, medical staff).
- Provide crisis intervention and support for emergent psychiatric needs.
- Participate fully in the on‑call rotation, covering nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, and federal/state regulations.
- Engage in continuing education and maintain all required licensure.
Work Schedule & Hours
Regular Work Hours
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
On‑Call Hours
- Monday–Friday: 4:30 PM – 7:30 AM
- Friday–Monday: 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
- Active and unrestricted medical license.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry.
- DEA registration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in inpatient, outpatient, or crisis settings.
- Comfort with high‑volume or complex caseloads.
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
Compensation Structure
- No differential pay for holiday hours or overtime.
- All hours (regular and on‑call) are compensated at the same hourly rate, unless otherwise informed differently
