Position Overview: Staff Development Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Staff Development Nurse (LPN) to support clinical education and the ongoing professional development of our nursing staff. This role is key in maintaining quality care standards, supporting compliance, and helping ensure our team delivers exceptional, person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in planning and implementing educational programs for nursing and support staff
2. Support new hire orientation and onboarding
3. Help evaluate staff competencies and coordinate in-service training
4. Promote compliance with federal, state, and facility standards
5. Support infection control and quality assurance initiatives
6. Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff

Qualifications

1. Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Alabama
2. Minimum of three years of nursing experience
3. Long-term care or geriatric experience strongly preferred
4. Previous staff development or training experience a plus
5. Strong organizational and communication skills
6. Ability to interpret reports and utilize data effectively
7. Ability to collaborate across departments to support quality resident care
