Civil Engineer

**Job Summary** APTIM is hiring a Civil Engineer to perform Installation Support Services for the United States Army Garrison Redstone (USAG-R) Department of Public Works (DPW) with our partner AKIMA. This position includes Pollution Controls, Compliance, Environmental Restoration Services, Landfill Operations, Engineering & Work Management Services, Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Service Orders for Facilities, Wastewater, Steam and Infrastructure at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. **General Responsibilities:** + A seasoned experienced professional with a full understanding of civil engineering resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways. + Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in structural engineering, plus working knowledge of other related fields. + Provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. + Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. + Development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering. + Ensures conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards. + Ensure project budgets and schedules are met. + Communicates with DPW on civil issues and works towards the best solutions. + Performs research for special equipment and methods for occasional non-standard repairs. + Oversees Craft Shops on Civil/Structural type repair work performed. + May perform in project leadership role and/or may supervise the activities of lower-level personnel. + Contributes to a team environment. **Basic Qualifications:** + Must have a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering + Minimum of 6-10 years of civil engineering experience + Valid State Driver's License + Meet requirements for: pre-employment physical, drug screening, background check, and MVR check (MVR points are subject to company policy). + Must obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). + Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods, ability to lift objects up to 50lbs. + Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. \#LI-BM1 #LI-Onsite **ABOUT APTIM** APTIM is committed to accelerating the transition toward a clean and efficient energy economy, building a sustainable future for our communities and natural world, and creating a more inclusive and equitable environment that celebrates the diversity of our communities.
