As a **Security Officer - Logistics Access Control FT** in **Montgomery, NY** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. **What You'll Do:**
+ Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities.
+ Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises as part of access control procedures.
+ Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or drivers with directions and information related to site policies and procedures.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents and/or suspicious activity.
+ Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or irregularities observed during shifts.
+ Collaborate with site personnel and/or law enforcement when necessary to address security-related concerns.
+ Carry out site-specific security-related procedures and support emergency response activities as needed.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Loss prevention experience is preferred.
+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
