Marine Electricians (12303)

Genesis Industrial is hiring Marine Electricians for an opportunity in Bayou La Batre, AL.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams for marine electrical systems.

• Install, terminate, and test power, lighting, control, and communication circuits.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical faults in AC and DC systems.

• Install and maintain switchboards, distribution panels, and circuit protection devices.

• Route and secure cable runs in accordance with shipyard and marine standards.

• Use electrical test equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, clamp meters) for inspections and diagnostics.

• Ensure all work complies with ABS, USCG, and OSHA regulations.

• Lead and mentor junior electricians, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

• Coordinate with other trades to complete projects efficiently.

• Perform work in shipyard, dry dock, and onboard environments, sometimes in confined spaces or at heights.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of marine electrical experience; shipyard experience preferred.

• Proficiency in both high-voltage and low-voltage AC/DC systems.

• Strong knowledge of marine electrical codes and safety practices.

• Ability to work from technical drawings with minimal supervision.

• Must pass drug screen and background check.

Work/ shift hours are:

• Monday - Thursday 6:00am CST to 3:30pm CST

• Friday 6:00am CST to 10:30am CST

• No over time anticipated.
