To thrive as a Network Administrator III at Gray Link Technologies LLC, you will need a robust skill set that encompasses both technical expertise and analytical capabilities. Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting routers, load balancers, and switches is essential, along with hands-on experience in upgrading and hardening network equipment. The role demands the ability to analyze and simulate network traffic in virtual and physical lab environments, which is crucial for effective problem resolution and configuration validation. Strong monitoring skills to assess system utilization and circuit bandwidth are vital, as you will be responsible for reporting anomalies and escalating complex issues to engineering staff. Familiarity with automation scripting to optimize network operations and meticulous documentation practices will further contribute to your success.

A deep understanding of enterprise WAN architectures, network segmentation, and SDN technologies is also required to ensure seamless network performance.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, patch, and harden routers, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches.
• Analyze and simulate network traffic in both virtual and physical lab environments to assist with problem resolution and configuration validation.
• Monitor system utilization and circuit bandwidth, report anomalies to Government engineering teams.
• Escalate highly complex network issues to engineering staff for advanced troubleshooting.
• Develop, execute, modify, or remove automation scripts to optimize network operations.
• Document all workload activity per incident or change request to support auditing and investigations.
• Apply deep knowledge of enterprise WAN architectures, network segmentation, and SDN technologies.
