Technology - Data Management & Strategy – Senior – Life Sciences Sector

The opportunity: We are seeking an experienced forecasting professional with over 3+ years of experience who is passionate about all things commercial pharma. This role focuses on strategic forecasting and allied capabilities, with experience in commercial analytics, strategic/financial forecasting and preferably demand planning/supply chain forecasting. In this role, you will design and apply comprehensive methods, practices, policies, tools, and processes to govern and control the entire lifecycle of data assets. You will perform maturity assessments on data management capabilities and advise on tools and roadmaps for implementation. Your understanding of business strategy in connection with the value of data at scale will be crucial.

Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree and 3-6 years of experience in python programming specializing in data handling, managing, ETL jobs
  
• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in querying data in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure etc.
  
• 3-6 years of experience in building statistical forecast models for pharma industry
  
• Exposure to sourcing/automating data pulls using APIs from different platforms (e.g., evaluate pharma, pricecentriq)
  
• Pharma forecast data exposure preferred (e.g., IQVIA MIDAS, KANTAR, GLOBOCAN)
  
• Understanding of concepts and metrics in forecasting funnel (incidence, prevalence, units, patients, dosage, etc.)

• Programming Languages: Python
  
• Data Sources: Relational databases, data lakes, clinical trial data systems
  
• Cloud Platforms: AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda), Azure (Data Lake, Azure Functions)

• Database Technologies: MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases
  
• Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect / Microsoft Azure Data Engineer (good to have)
  
• Statistical Programming Languages: Python, R
  
• Libraries & Frameworks: Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, StatsModels
  
• Data Visualization Tools: Matplotlib, Seaborn, ggplot2
  
• Machine Learning Techniques: Supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation
  

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably a business degree.
  
• Specialized skills in Data Fabric, Data Governance, Enterprise IT Architecture, and other data management disciplines
  
• Well-developed business acumen and strong problem-solving attitude with the ability to visualize scenarios, possible outcomes & operating constraints.
  
• Good communication skills both written and oral, ability to make impactful presentations & expertise at using Excel & PPTs.
  
• Familiarity with current techno-commercial context and ability to integrate technology thinking into customer solutioning
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to scale engagements at will
  

Ideally, you’ll also have

• A proactive approach to identifying and solving client issues.
  
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide teams and interact with clients.
