Machine Operator Job Description:

PrideStaff is currently working with a local chemical manufacturer who is seeking a Machine Operator/Line Operator. The Machine Operator will be responsible for maintaining sophisticated machinery to produce high-quality products by combining raw materials, maintaining equipment and ensuring consistent product quality. The ideal Machine Operator has multiple years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a Machine Operator or Line Operator, can lift up to 50lbs, and demonstrates excellent time management and organizational skills. The Machine Operator/ Line Operator position is a full-time, temp-to-hire position in Vance, AL.

Machine Operator Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare Various Warehouse & Production Line Functions to Support The Packaging of The Company’s Products

• Operate Computer-Controlled Production Systems For Mixing & Processing Various Raw Material Ingredients in a Mix Room

• Continuously Monitor Equipment During Procedures to Ensure Optimal Performance & Product Quality

• Set up Machines at The Beginning of Each Shift, Including Calibrating & Inputting Specific Parameters

• Perform routine Maintenance, Cleaning, & Calibration of Machines Before, During & After Shifts

• Conduct Safety Checks on All Machinery & Ensure Regular Preventative Maintenance Procedures Are Followed

• Perform Testing Procedures & Random Tests to Ensure Product Accuracy & Compliance With Quality Standards

• Conduct Periodic Checks on Output to Maintain Quality Standards & Troubleshoot Any Machine Issues That Araise

• Ensure Stocks of Needed Materials Are Readily Available & Maintain Accurate Records of Raw Materials, Samples, & Equipment

• Use a Forklift to Transport Materials as Required

• Conduct Safety Checks on Equipment & Complete Daily Job Checklists, Equipment Checks, & Calibration Records

• Maintain Activity Logs & Downtime Sheets

• Follow All PPE & Safety Guidelines

Machine Operator Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

• Previous Mechanical Experience Required

• 1 Year of Minimum Production Plant Experience Preferred

• Demonstrates Proficient English

• Experience With Computer-Controlled Production Systems is a Plus

• Must be Able to Lift up to 50lbs

• Must be Able to Walk & Stand & Work in Hot & Cold Temperatures

• Willingness to Work Mandatory Overtime, Including Weekends & Holidays as Needed
