System Administrator - ACAS System Security Compliance Administrator

We are looking for a skilled and motivated System Administrator - ACAS System Security Compliance Administrator to join our team in support of the 26 NOS, U.S. Air Force at Maxwell AFB, Gunter Annex. This role focuses on information system administration with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity and vulnerability assessment. Responsibilities:

Manage security and compliance baseline configurations, inventory, and best practices for vulnerability management solutions (VMS).

Deploy, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Tenable ACAS solutions, including SecurityCenter (SC), Nessus scanners, Nessus Network Monitor (NNM), and Nessus Agents.

Collaborate with cybersecurity and system administration teams to ensure compliance and optimize security operations.

Develop and implement security compliance reports, dashboards, and asset management solutions across multiple network environments.

Assist with installation and maintenance of security policies, plug-ins, STIGs, and configuration audits.

Manage and support external cybersecurity deliverables, including DISA Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS), DoD Patch Repository Defense Asset Distribution System (DADS), and audit repositories.

Oversee scan zones, scanners, and subnet mapping while integrating enterprise network application tools such as Forescout, SolarWinds Orion, McAfee Endpoint Security, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).

Lead a team of 5-7 personnel, providing guidance and support on security compliance strategies.

Design and implement customized security dashboards, automated reports, and executive summaries to provide actionable insights.

Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, including DISA ACAS best practices, Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO), and other DoD policies.

Maintain system documentation, including IP addresses, FQDNs, service accounts, role-based access controls (RBAC), and security certifications.

Deploy and manage Nessus Agents for scanning and security monitoring across the environment.

Work closely with AF Cyber personnel on cybersecurity initiatives, including Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) programs and security audits.

Qualifications:

Required Skills & Experience:

1-4 years of hands-on experience with ACAS, Tenable SecurityCenter (SC), or Nessus products.

Proficiency in Windows or Linux (RHEL) operating systems in enterprise environments.

Experience managing virtualized environments (VMware vSphere, ESXi).

Strong ability to set up and execute Tenable Nessus scans, analyze reports, and identify vulnerabilities.

Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) security standards, STIGs, and SRGs.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a passion for IT security.

Ability to manage workload effectively, balancing security needs with operational priorities.

Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, PowerShell, Python, or NASL is a plus.

Strong understanding of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, VLAN, routing, and firewalls.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
