Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clerk to serve as the front-line representative for our financial institution. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate transaction records, provide efficient cash receipt and payment services, and deliver exceptional member service. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and a solid understanding of credit union products and processes.

Job Description

• Greet members courteously and professionally, ensuring timely and accurate service
• Process deposits, withdrawals, cashing of checks, and other teller transactions
  
• Verify endorsements, signatures, and funds availability
  
• Promote and explain credit union products and services, including loans, IRAs, certificates, and money orders
  
• Receive and process payments for consumer loans and other accounts
  
• Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds following established procedures
  
• Process mobile deposit submissions and apply required extended holds
  
• Count, verify, and package currency and coin
  
• Balance cash drawer daily and reconcile with system-generated proof sheets
  
• Report discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to management
  
• Maintain teller station supplies and ensure workstation organization
  
• Check and log night depository bags
  
• Review and update member contact information as needed
  
• Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and OFAC regulations

S kills Required

• Minimum 2 years of recent teller experience in a credit union or bank
• Cash handling experience
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Credit check clearance with no bankruptcy or collections
• Teller Cash Recycler experience (preferred)
• DNA system experience (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
  
• Basic math proficiency and accurate spelling
  
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  
• Strong discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

Education

• High school diploma or GED;

Pay Rate

• $18 per hour and higher depending on experience and qualifications
