We are seeking a dynamic and personable Part-Time Traveling Sales Associate to join our traveling shoe store! This role involves visiting various healthcare facilities, to set up on site shoe sales and custom fit our customers. Events vary from 1-3 per week, sometimes local day sales, other times, 2 day overnight events. (Per diem and hotel expense paid) The ideal candidate will be physically fit, have excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, the ability to travel up to 2 days at a time and be physically able to load and unload a trailer and merchandise the pop up sale quickly. This position offers variable hours and the opportunity to develop sales and merchandising expertise while representing our brand across multiple locations. Responsibilities Set up on site shoe sales (pop-up shop) with 1 other associate Unload and load trailer Assist customers with personalized shoe fittings Perform upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities Handle cashiering duties including cash handling and basic retail math calculations Manage POS systems efficiently for transactions Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction Supervise or assist with inventory management at each location Ensure proper phone etiquette when communicating with customers or store staff Maintain professional appearance and conduct during all interactions Travel between assigned retail locations as scheduled or required Requirements Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store environments is preferred Supervising experience is a plus but not mandatory Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Knowledge of POS systems, merchandising, stocking, and retail math concepts Ability to perform product demos confidently and persuasively Excellent customer service skills Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately Reliable transportation for traveling from starting location in Montgomery on a variable schedule Previous experience in upselling, product promotion, or sales is advantageous Willingness to learn how to drive truck and 12' trailer (Bonus pay offered for individuals able to drive trailer and act as show manager with another associate) This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their sales skills while gaining experience in a dynamic retail environment.
