Job Overview
Job Summary:
A server is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a positive dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and present menus
- Take accurate food and drink orders
- Deliver orders promptly and ensure quality
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction
- Handle customer questions, concerns, or complaints professionally
- Process payments (cash, card, POS systems)
- Maintain cleanliness of tables and dining areas
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff for smooth service
- Follow health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous serving or customer service experience (preferred but not always required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Basic math skills for handling payments
- Team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
