Wa rehouse-Vending Operations Associate

Regular, Full Time

DiVal Safety Equipment- Madison, AL

DiVal Safety Equipment, a leader in the industrial safety, Fire, and EMS distribution business, is looking for an associate with a “whatever it takes” attitude.

The main responsibility of this position is to provide accurate and efficient Warehousing practices, Vending services & Quality Customer support with safety being a priority.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Always focus on safety – safety training and direction must be always adhered to.
• Various Warehouse activity, including but not limited to- picking, packing, shipping orders, receiving inventory, and putting stock away.
• Provide customer onsite Vendor Managed Inventory replenishment of PPE products for customers as scheduled
• Accurately maintain and record inventory levels at each customer location utilizing a web-based inventory management system.
• Prepare and submit all necessary daily paperwork in a timely manner as required.
• Complete cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
• Must complete daily vehicle inspection and make direct supervisor aware of any issues that might require attention.
• Report any existing or potential safety concerns to management.
• Reporting directly to Services and Warehouse Leadership in alignment with other members of the management team.
• Perform additional duties that may arise and assigned by management.

Skills and Requirements:

• Ability to pass a D.O.T. physical with drug screen.
• Strong organizational, detail oriented, self-motivated and strong time management skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
• Valid Driver’s License. (Vehicle Transit Van or 16” box truck)
• Experience with handheld equipment, like RF scanners, palm devices, and/or tablets. (Preferred)
• Basic computer skills a must, AS400 experience a plus
• High school diploma / GED equivalent.
