Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (state certification required)
- Previous experience within a school setting, preferably in special education
- Deep understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and parents
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom culture
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction based on student IEPs
- Create engaging, accessible lesson plans that support various learning styles and needs
- Manage and document student progress, IEP goals, and regular reporting requirements
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet students at their current levels
- Work closely with school staff and families to ensure a team-based approach to student success
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and school initiatives to actively contribute to the school’s mission
