Client Relations Manager
The Client Relationship Manager is responsible for supporting customers, developing quotes, processing orders, providing product and pricing information, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate service. This role requires strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and an understanding of industrial products, components, or equipment. Experience working for an industrial distributor is highly preferred.Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales Support
- Serve as the primary internal contact for customer inquiries, quotes, and orders.
- Respond promptly to incoming calls and emails from customers, reps, and field sales.
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products, solutions, or alternatives.
- Prepare accurate quotes, pricing sheets, and product recommendations.
- Enter and manage sales orders in the ERP system with high accuracy.
- Track orders and proactively communicate status updates to customers.
- Work closely with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure product availability and timely shipments.
- Follow up on open orders, backorders, and delivery issues until resolved.
- Develop a working understanding of the company’s product lines, applications, and industry use cases.
- Assist customers in identifying correct parts, materials, and specifications.
- Collaborate with vendors to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical information.
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with key accounts and frequent buyers.
- Support outside sales team members with quotes, literature, pricing, and project details.
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling based on customer needs.
Required:
- 5+ years of inside sales, customer service, or order desk experience.
- Experience with industrial products such as electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, MRO, construction, or oil & gas equipment.
- Strong computer skills including ERP order entry systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work well under deadlines.
- Experience at an industrial distributor (electrical, mechanical, pipe/valve/fitting, instrumentation, industrial supply, etc.).
- Familiarity with reading prints, interpreting technical specs, or working with engineered products.
- Knowledge of quoting software, CRM systems, or inventory tools.
- College degree in business, industrial design or related.

- Full-time, on-site position in an office/distribution environment.
- Occasional interaction with warehouse, vendors, and field sales.
