OVERHEAD CRANE OPERATOR
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Overhead Crane Operator for a company based in Woodstock, AL. With this opportunity you will get to step into a high‑tech, fast‑moving industrial environment where you’ll operate cutting‑edge equipment and build valuable hands‑on skills every day.
Pay Rate
$17.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 4 00 am to 12 30 pm but must be flexible for time change .
Overhead Crane Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position loads safely throughout the facility
- Follow hand signals or radio communication from ground crew to guide movements accurately
- Monitor load movement and stop operations immediately in response to hazards, alarms, or unsafe conditions
- Conduct daily safety inspections of the crane, hooks, hoists, cables, and controls before operation
- Ensure all loads are securely rigged and within the crane’s rated capacity before lifting.
- Could be assisting in Packaging, Remote Crane or Fabricating work
Overhead Crane Operator Qualifications and Requirements
- Prior experience in overhead crane operations preferred.
- Must be willing to be trained in other departments as needed
- Extreme attention to detail
- Strength and stamina to lift materials up to 75 pounds
- Organizational skills
