Job Summary
W e are seeking highly skilled Cloud Operations Specialists to support and optimize enterprise-scale cloud environments. This role is responsible for designing, managing, and securing cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration of services, and driving automation and operational excellence across the cloud ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, and will serve as a strategic advisor and hands-on engineer for cloud adoption and governance.
Job Description
- Design and manage cloud tenant hierarchy, resource allocation, and structural governance.
- Oversee tenant connectivity (intra/inter) to ensure secure and efficient communication between environments.
- Architect scalable, resilient, and secure cloud frameworks and landing zones.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Terraform templates and modules for multi-team use.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex Terraform deployment issues in Azure.
- Implement automation strategies to streamline cloud operations and infrastructure provisioning.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure-as-Code workflows, ensuring seamless integration and deployment.
- Guide new users and departments through the cloud onboarding process.
- Deliver accelerator services, training, and tailored support to teams without dedicated DevOps resources.
- Maintain and document reusable Terraform modules for organization-wide consumption.
- Define and enforce cloud policies aligned with security best practices.
- Conduct regular cloud security assessments and audits.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, governance frameworks, and internal regulations.
- Monitor cloud workloads and resources, identifying performance bottlenecks and tuning accordingly.
- Implement cost-management strategies to ensure efficient cloud consumption.
- Oversee backup and recovery strategies, ensuring robust business continuity.
- Manage Docker image pipelines and ensure secure, scalable container deployments.
- Optimize GitHub runners to support high-performing CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify and implement continuous process improvements across operational domains.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless cloud service delivery.
- Mentor junior team members in Docker image management, GitHub runner configuration, and Terraform best practices.
Skills Required
- 5+ years of experience managing cloud infrastructure (in addition to degree requirements).
- Microsoft Azure (networking, security, infrastructure)
- Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code
- CI/CD pipelines
- Advanced knowledge of cloud security, cost optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with cloud onboarding, support, and compliance management.
- Strong understanding of cloud architectural principles and operational best practices.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent experience.
Additional Requirements
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate preferred
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals preferred
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate preferred
- AZ-104 or AZ-305 preferred (highly beneficial)
- On-site two days per week: Wednesday and Thursday required.
- Occasional Monday/Tuesday onsite schedules may occur with 1–2 weeks’ notice.
- Exceptions may be made for emergencies on a week-by-week basis.
- Additional onsite days or fully onsite work is optional.
- Remote work must be performed from a Texas residence.
