Position Summary

The RN Treatment Nurse is responsible for overseeing skin integrity, wound care, and treatment protocols for residents. This PRN role supports the clinical team by ensuring high-quality, compliant care and continuity of treatment.

What You’ll Do

1. Oversee wound care and skin treatment for residents
2. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate skin care needs
3. Conduct and support weekly skin rounds
4. Monitor and ensure preventative measures (turning, positioning, skin checks)
5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on care plans
6. Educate staff, residents, and families on wound care practices
7. Support training of nursing staff as needed
8. Maintain accurate documentation and compliance

Qualifications

1. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
2. Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred
3. Wound care experience preferred but not required
4. Interest in specializing in wound care (training provided through internal program)
5. Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
