Contract Specialist IV (Remote) - National Park Service Support

Introduction
Metrics LLC is seeking an exceptionally skilled and experienced Contract Specialist IV for a contingent upon contract award position supporting the National Park Service (NPS), Denver Service Center. This is a premier opportunity for a remote, full-time professional to provide critical acquisition support for large-scale design and construction projects at National Park sites across the country. The ideal candidate will be a high-performing individual ready to manage complex federal contracts from planning to closeout.
Responsibilities
Under the guidance of a government Contracting Officer, you will perform a full range of acquisition tasks:
- Acquisition Planning: Conduct market research and collaborate with project teams to determine optimal contract types, solicitation methods, and small business strategies.
- Solicitation: Prepare and issue comprehensive pre-solicitation and solicitation documents, including Requests for Proposals/Quotes (RFP/RFQ) and amendments.
- Source Selection: Facilitate technical evaluation panels, assist in all source selection activities, and conduct detailed cost and price analyses to support negotiations and determine fair and reasonable pricing.
- Contract Award: Prepare and process contract award packages for government signature and distribute announcements.
- Contract Administration: Maintain official electronic contract files, resolve payment issues, ensure compliance with Department of Labor (DOL) wage determinations, and manage contract correspondence.
- Contract Modifications & Closeout: Process contract modifications, including evaluating proposals and documenting negotiations. Prepare all necessary documentation for timely and compliant contract closeout.
Mandatory Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
OR
- A bachelor’s degree with a major in any field from an accredited four-year institution combined with a minimum of 24 semester hours in Business (accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management).
With:
- A minimum of ten years of experience in Federal Government Contracting.
- Experience with federal procurement systems such as the Federal Procurement Desktop System (FPDS), Procurement Request Information System (PRISM), and the Financial and Business Management System (FBMS).
- Ability to pass a background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ten years of experience in construction contracting.
- Three years of experience in architect-engineer (A-E) services contracting.
