Senior UX/UI Designer

The Digital Experience Design UX/UI Designer III will be part of an experience design (XD) team dedicated to driving user-centered design for the betterment of customers and business groups. As a designer, you will collaborate with cross-functional XD squads throughout the digital product lifecycle to design innovative and meaningful solutions that create a desirable customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead design activities to create industry-leading experiences for clients, teammates, and the business.
- Oversee medium-to-large projects and tailor deliverables to balance product requirements, platform constraints, and stakeholder needs.
- Translate complex business requirements and functional specifications into design roadmaps.
- Design information architecture, user interfaces, and interactions for services and experiences.
- Ensure designs align with the company’s design system and industry best practices.
- Create process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and interaction models, resulting in low-to-high fidelity prototypes.
- Develop and maintain detailed user interface specifications for development teams.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of designs.
- Evaluate new software, tools, and technologies, and assist in their implementation.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth and development of the team.
- Advocate for user-centered design and champion user experience.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, sharing knowledge and insights.
- Participate in and/or conduct observational and usability research.
- Engage in SAFe Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, Inspect and Adapt, PI Planning, and retrospectives.
- Work with XD Accessibility Analysts to ensure designs meet accessibility requirements.
- Ensure compliance with risk management programs, rules, regulations, and cybersecurity practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and six (6) years of experience in experience design, or a High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of related post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe, etc.
- Experience designing in insurance, financial, or highly regulated verticals.
- Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance.
- Strong design, process, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced skills in experience design, interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, research, product design, and/or user interface design.
- Proficiency in working with and contributing to design systems.
- Ability to independently define requirements, scope projects, and prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and flexibility.
- Empathy for customers and a consumer-centric mindset.
- Technical acumen to effectively communicate with tech leads and engineers.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.

Pay Range: $65-$67/hr on W2
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
