Position Summary: Some m asonry experience required. Mason tenders provide all of the materials and equipment needed by Masons in order to perform their jobs in a safe, efficient manner. Incumbents of this position must continually place safety at the forefront of their daily responsibilities.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Set up safe, efficient work station for the mason
• Make mortar with a hoe and mixer
• Stock work station with masonry units (brick, block, etc.) in necessary quantity
• Stock saw cuts and shapes in needed quantity at work station
• Estimate and stock needed amount of reinforcing wire, anchors, wall ties, etc. in needed quantity at work station
• Load mortar boards and keep full as needed
• Temper mortar
• Maintain clean work station throughout the shift
• Efficiently move masons to next work station by planning and preparation
• Build scaffolds and raise walk boards, if necessary
• Dismantle scaffolds and store properly
• Maintain equipment and tools
• Operate primer mover, masonry saws, mixers, and other equipment efficiently and safely
• Clean up entire work area during the last 30 minutes of each shift

Qualifications: The Mason tender must be able to lift and carry 50-75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Mason tenders must have the willingness to work above ground, as this is frequently required. OSHA approved forklift certification is required for all operators.

Organizational Relationships: Mason tenders report to the jobsite field supervisor.
