Legal Assistant / Paralegal – Family Law
Massey, Stotser & Nichols, PC (Birmingham / Trussville area) is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support family law matters.
What You’ll Do
- Communicate with clients, courts, judges of probate, and third parties
- Assist with all family law matters , including:
- Drafting pleadings and correspondence and discovery
- E-Filing of documents
- Calendaring deadlines, hearings, and court dates
- Maintaining organized digital and physical case files
- Coordinate closely with attorneys to ensure cases progress efficiently
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years paralegal experience preferred
- Knowledge of Alabama & Federal Rules of Civil Procedure as well as Bankruptcy creditor filings
- Strong organization and deadline management skills
- Experience with Clio a plus
- Must have a valid Driver's License, Auto Insurance and Notary
- Must pass a background check
